Kirsten Storms DUI: It Is Not Her Fault
E-online news report on Wed, 19 Sep 2007 by Josh Grossberg
Kirsten Storms 23,The General Hospital star was officially charged Tuesday with two counts of misdemeanor drunken driving resulting from her Sept. 7 arrest on a Los Angeles freeway, L.A. City Attorney's Office
She was behind the wheel of a blue Mercedes-Benz CLK500 on the San Fernando Valley's 101 highway at about 3 a.m. The officers stoped her and subsequently found the actress' blood-alcohol level at 0.13, well above the state's 0.08 legal limit.
You Really Have A Justification
To have an justification of her drunk driving, first of all Kirsten Storms should know that the drunk driving epidemiological research survey statistics reveals that almost all those drunk driving incidents and most importantly its accidents happens as a result of people who were consuming the HIGH ALCOHOL CONTENT beverages (that includes the standard “beer” having around 5% alcohol- that probably she was drinking) all of which has been licensed by the authorities in the named of “Standard alcohol Drinks” (SADs*). On the other hand there are no fundamental research evidences or statistics that fundamentally suggests that the consumption of LOW Alcohol Drinks (LADs) having alcohol around 2% or less results or causes in any of these drunk driving offences specially its accidents!
On this basis now Kirsten Storms can argue that it is primarily due to this irresponsibility or misconduct of the authorities licensing such extremely dangerous or “unsafe” SADs for the public consumption that caused her and all the others drunk driving. If the authorities licensed only those safe low alcohol content beverages for the public consumption such a drunk driving incident of her would not have happened!
The authorities may argue; if you consider that SADs contain high alcohol thus dangerous or unsafe for you then why did you choose to drink it? It is your own CHOICE! No one forced you to drink it or prevented you from opting for the LADs if you presume they are safe!
It may seem the authorities giving a fitting answer. However if one looks little deeper into this matter they can find the insensitiveness, irresponsibility or misconduct of the authorities on this issue. I have explained this matter in my document “Alcohol Drinking: Is It A Matter of Choice?” also in many of my other blog post the weblink of some of them given at the end of this post.
Now let me show why it is not that possible for Kirsten Storms to make a choice of drinking the LADs in this social situation specially given her celebrity stature! Because most importantly the celebrities have to face more public pressure, impressions, compulsions. Kirsten Storms is a super model and she should carry this image! She should remain above the ordinary people in all her preferences house, cars, dresses, sex, fancies, food drink and the pleasures whatever! She can not prefer some thing which is considered not powerful or bold enough that would weaken her famous public image!
Therefore she simply can not prefer those cheap, low alcohol drinks, which are consider to be having low pleasures points even if she had known it is considerably safe having a very low risk and considerably very safe, while people all around her enjoying their high pleasure, high risk high alcohol content drinks. It will make her inferior, a failure or looser in her carrier that she cannot afford!
However the situation would have been different if the authorities only licensed the considerably safe low alcohol drink for the public consumption. Then she would have not had any such compulsions to choose those high alcohol content drinks when they are not at all made available. Not to mention those millions people who also would not had such a drunk driving incidents and most importantly its tragic accidents! So the drinkers drunk driving is primarily authorities fault!
However Kirsten Storms may never will know this truth!
