The Dark Side of Drunk Driving

Please Note: When I say “Drunk Driving” (DD) it also includes various Alcohol Use Disorders, Dependence, they are closely related and as a whole called as the Alcoholism Problems.

Drunk Driving Who’s Fault?


I totally agree Drunk Driving is the most notorious and despicable among the alcohol problems. It not alone endangers the drunk drivers but most importantly they endanger public life. Without warning they can bring sudden and tragic end or total devastations on thousands of other peoples lives. Most terribly its killing of those hundreds of innocents! As it leave absolutely no second chance compared with other alcohol problems.

The authorities put the blame of drunk driving entirely on the drunk drivers. They have been despised so much that even when they tragically get killed in its accidents without hurting or killing any one else, still they seems to have no public sympathy or mourning except from their near or dear once! Some may think it is better that they killed themselves rather than killing others! The drunks who have been caught driving especially the “repeat” offenders subjected to harsh punishments. Even though most of the time they have caused no accidents at all! It is important to note that more higher their BAC counts more sever the punishment they get!

It is a common belief that the drunk drivers mostly hurt other innocent people. But it is far from the truth. While in the accidents the chances of their hurting or killing other people perhaps as much as their getting into it themselves. However it is while they caught with the drunk driving without any accidents, where the great majority of them being punished as they are considered as serious threat to the public safety!

The Gov. authorities try to prevent drunk driving by heavily coming down the drunk drivers. The public opinion growing for the increase the severity and amount of their punishment, zero tolerance! (However Ironically in the US the statistical of suggests that most drinker some times or the other in their life time have committed the drunk driving offence without being caught!) Drunk driving considered solely to be the persons own responsibility. It is a very serious offence and there is no one to blame but the drunk drivers themselves.

However nobody seems to aware of the other side or the notorious dark side of drunk driving where the alcohol authorities play its most nefarious part! It is they who license the drinks containing high alcohol content in the name of Standard Alcohol Drinks (SADs) and the research points out that it is these SADs causing almost all of the drunk driving and most impotently its accidents. Drunk driving primarily happen as the result of the irresponsible Gov. alcohol policy as it stands upon the alcohol research misconduct of the alcohol authorities. People become drunk drivers as its result as well its victims and many time they make others their victims. Nevertheless it is the drunk driver who suffer most from the drunk driving consequences! However the authorities and the public sees the drunk driver solely as a culprit of the drunk driving as they can not see its nefarious dark side that turns a person into drunk driver so a scapegoat of the drunk driving.

Therefore it is now mainly to the drunk driver who first of all needs to wake up and to see the nefarious dark side of the drunk driving with this insight. Instead made as a scapegoat they should to stand up and fight back against those who’s in the first place because of their licensing of such extremely dangerous high alcohol content SADs made him to get drunk, intoxicated, gullible victim whether he drive or not!

Expecting a responsible behavior generally from the drunk people! Especially in the situation where they are in a very much need of a drive! Isn’t it mostly a joke?
