DUI Father Charged: Endangering his own Children

Charleston Daily Mail news report on September 27, 2007

A Clendenin man is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with his two children in the vehicle.

Brandon Scott Bishop, 26, of 17 Leatherwood Road, was stopped by a Charleston Police officer on Saturday.
by Patrolman E.J. Tipton and charged with DUI.

Bishop had a blood alcohol level of .197, more than twice the legal limit, and was driving his two children, ages 10 and 4, according to the report.

He is charged with driving under the influence with minors under the age of 16.

Can a DUI father in his “right mind” put the life of his own (or any other) minor children at the risk of fatal DUI accident?

Can anyone in their right mind accuse the drunk father doing it intentionally?

I call upon the alcohol authorities first of all not to permit or license those high-alcohol content drinks for public consumption in the name of Standard Alcohol Drinks. All of which known to potentially cause alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving most importantly its tragic Accidents.

It is what I mainly point out as the vulnerability or gullibility of people to those high-alcohol content drinks. The consumption of which inadvertently makes them to slips and fall into such an intoxicated, drunk, impaired state than they really have intended! Especially when they were in such a need to drive inorder to reach their destination with their children. Please prevent people gettin that much of drunk or intoxicated in the first place.
