Why Driving With High BAC Is Offence - While Licensing of High-Alcohol Drinks Not?

We All know that driving having the Blood Alcohol Count (BAC) over a given (0.08) level is considered as drunk driving, DUI or DWI offence whether it had caused accidents or not!

It is solidly based on the alcohol epidemiological research surveys, which clearly points out that people having the BAC above the given levels and driving significantly increase their risk of getting into the accidents endangering their and the others life.-- the higher the drivers BAC the more the risk. It becomes highest when the BAC reaches around and above the 0.2 levels!

On the other hand the epidemiological survey also points out that the risk of the accident having the BAC levels below the given .08 level significantly less therefore it cannot be considered as an offence.

However when it comes to the alcohol drinks the authorities who license those alcohol drinks for the public consumption seem to operate strangely under a very different notion! It is mainly due to their institutional preposterous stand or position that basically asserts that all alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content (percentage) in them high or low some how equally cause alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving and its accidents!

However truth of this matter is same as it has found in the drunk driving BAC surveys --also in the field of alcohol drinks ; ‘all the alcohol epidemiological research surveys basically points out that almost all those drunk driving incidents and most importantly those high BAC driving accidents mainly happens as a result of people consuming those HIGH ALCOHOL CONTENT beverages (that includes the standard “beer” having around 5% alcohol). Nevertheless all of which have been licensed by the authorities in the named of “Standard alcohol Drinks” (SADs*).

On the other hand same like in the BAC driving cases, there are no fundamental alcohol research survey evidences or statistics that fundamentally suggests that the consumption of Low Alcohol Drinks (LADs) having alcohol around 2% or less, results or causes any of these drunk driving offences specially its high BAC driving accidents!

However the alcohol authorities who license these alcohol drinks to public consumption seems to argue that the overwhelming majority of people who consume this high alcohol content SADs drinks, do not fall into such alcohol(ism) problem most importantly the drunk driving and its accidents. Therefore they do no wrong or offence by their licensing of the so called high alcohol drink.

Now in the court let the person charged with drunken driving stand up (or the defending lawyer) and argue that he has been driving having around that much amount of alcohol so many times so far causing no such driving accidents. It is only a small minority having above that BAC cause accidents but the majority not. Therefore it should not be made as an offence. It is only when people cause accident should be considered as a serious offence irrespective of the Alcohol Counts in their blood high or low!

Without any further deliberations let me conclude this by asking the same top question once again: Why the peoples driving With High-BAC is an Offence -- While the authorities Licensing of the high-alcohol drinks is not? -- As both of them equally as well cause driving accidents. And the latter causes far worse alcohol(ism) problems.
