Party Thrower FGCU Students Charged in Drunk Driving Students Death

In a tragic drunk driving DUI single car crash, Mary Grace Taaffe, 18, of Tampa, died . She was drunk driving in Estero on Aug. 31 at 3:03 a.m. after leaving a party attended by about 15 underage students, most of whom were drinking. Taaffe had a blood alcohol level of 0.139 percent, according to a report by highway patrol Cpl. George R. Kantor

State Highway Patrol troopers have charged two Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) students Nicholas Charles Herrig and Kevin Michael Curtin, both 19,with throwing the drinking party in August that allegedly contributed to the DUI death.

Blaming it on those FGCU students as the contributors of Taaffe’s DUI death is the authorities superficial way of putting the blame on any one they can link. It diverts the public attention from its real hidden cause. Hereby I appeal mainly to the victims grieving family friend and supporters including of those FGCU students, not to be carried away by the authorities superficial blame game so not to let the real culprit out that continues to cause almost all those drunk driving, DUI fatal accidents.

The main cause of the drunk driving is the alcohol authorities license those high-alcohol content drinks for the public consumption in the name of “Standard Alcohol Drinks” (SADs). Its drinking makes the alcohol vulnerable, gullible people (includes students)inadvertently to get into such an intoxicated drunken impaired (loss of control) State than they really have intended.

In such situation how can any sensible people ask the drunk person to behave responsibly and not to get into driving when they have to? Perhaps many still can but many others cannot for various reasons.
