Let me mention its main points:

Raymond Charles Yellowknee, 35, a repeat DUI offender became the first person in Canada to be jailed indefinitely for drunk driving which killed a young mother and her three daughters. He had been drunk and driving a stolen pickup truck when he killed Misty Chalifoux, 28, her daughters Trista, 9, and Larissa, 6, and her stepdaughter Michelle Lisk, 13, on Jan. 20, 2006 near Salve Lake in northwestern Alberta.

Misty Chalifoux left behind a husband and two boys, including a child she was still breastfeeding.

As long as the Government continues to license and allows the sales of those extremely dangerous alcohol drinks for the public consumption one can not prevent millions of alcohol vulnerable gullible people like Yellowknee from becoming drunk drivers still in the future. As a result thousands of people like Misty Chalifoux and her daughters will be met with such fatal accidents, tragically die and the rest of their family members life get devastated.

It would be also a tragedy for the Yellowknee’s close family members specially if he have any children .
Making him the poster child for “drunk driving and dangerous offender status” is just another MADD diversion from tackling the real issue. The “root-cause” or the real culprits behind the drunk driving are the alcohol drink governing bosses.
