Standard Alcohol Drinks (SADs) Cause Alcoholism

(This is the revised version of the “Standard Alcohol Drinks…..” series forwarded as a monthly Update.)

SADs Licenced By the Gov. Licensed Cause DUI etc. Alcohol(ism) Problems

Standard Alcohol Drinks* (STDs), which features at the forefront in the Gov. and the other alcohol research, prevention, treatment institutions much publicized moderate (safe, low-risk, controlled) drinking promulgations indeed extremely dangerous for Human consumption.

Because, all the available alcohol epidemiological research evidences in this matter clearly indicates that all these STDs, most popular among them is the Standard beer, which contains around 5% alcohol (v/v) potentially cause the alcohol “dependence” and various other alcohol(ism) problems**. The most of notorious among them is the dreadful DUI or the drunk driving accidents!

However the most important thing for public to know on this matter is; there are NO real evidences, which prove that all alcohol drinks cause drunk driving accidents, contrary to what the alcohol authorities make the public to believe! But at the same time there are overwhelming evidences, which prove that the “high” alcohol content drinks, which authorities license for the public consumption in the name of ‘Standard Alcohol Drinks’ causes almost all those alcoholism problems including the DUI accidents.--- For a deeper understanding on this matter I suggest to read “Alcohol Research misconduct……” <
http://alcohol-research-misconduct.blogspot.com/2007/10/alcohol-research-misconduct-cause-drunk.html> in this web(blog)site.

However the greatest irony of this matter is that the Gov. Alcohol Policy Makers (APMs) mainly its researchers who monitors the safety of the products (specially the food and drug), which they sanction for the public consumption does not seems to recognize the potential dangers of the SADs consumption even though its devastating evidence right in front of them!

So the question arise; why does the Gov. Alcohol Policy Makers (APM) designated prevent and eradicate all those alcohol(ism) problems on the contrary endorse those high alcohol content SADs brought in by the Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturers (ABM) despite the overwhelming alcohol research evidence that all the before mentioned horrific alcohol(ism) problems?

(The second blog paper in this “Standard Alcohol Drink …”series will be continued in the next post.)

*A Standard Alcohol Drink is calculated around 10grms to 13grams of pure alcohol in essence .
In general, its different levels of concentration in the drink (V/V)
makes it essentially different from each other.

In the US scale of measurement it comes to:
1.5 ounce of 80-prof distilled spirit (around 40% alcohol v/v)
one 5-ounce glass of wine (around 12% alcohol v/v)
one 12-ounce bottle of beer (around 5% alcohol v/v)

In the European scale of measurement it comes to:
A single shot of spirits or liquor of 40ml. (around 40% alcohol v/v).
A glass of wine or sherry of 140ml. (around 12% alcohol v/v).
One can of beer of 300ml. (around 5% alcohol v/v).

It makes the people to think that the beer that contains around 5% alcohol
is the lowest alchol content in the alcohol drink standards!
Please note there is absence of Low-alcohol Drinks in there.

…………………………………

** Alcoholism problems: The Standard Alcohol Drinks (SADs) remains ubiquitous
in all alcohol drink research, much so in the research of the drinks causing dependence, alcoholism
(including the DUI accidents) problems unless
it specifically mentions the name of the Low Alcohol Drinks.
Therefore, anyone asking for the evidence for the existence
of the STDs in the alcohol research is like asking for the evidence of
saltwater when referred to the seawater!

The idea that a standard serving size for alcohol creates or induces alcholism is simply ridiculous. If this were true, anyone consuming a glass of wine or bottle of beer could become an alcoholic. One 12 oz beer on occassion does not an alcholic make; regular comsumption of mass quantities (to intox) will. The suggestion that a standard size of alcoholic drinks creates a high rate of alcoholism is not credible.
