Drunk Drivers Should Fight Back: You Have Nothing to Loose But Your Shackles

The tragic news of drunk driving accidents, injuries and its fatal deaths widely published in the media. They mostly project the drunk driver as a marauding criminal who ‘intentionally’ go maiming, murdering people on their way!

However this conventional stereotype image of the drunk drivers projected DUI prevention advocates and the authorities remains far from the truth. Many times the DUI victims are the co-passengers, traveling in the same fateful vehicle if not the drunk drivers themselves. They are the close family members, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, close relatives dear friends, and colleges of the drunk drivers rather than someone out side their vehicle, the public!

People who are close to the drunk drivers most of the times would say that the person never would do or did such a thing INTENTIONALLY. They had never thought human life would be lost as the direct result of their drunk driving even in their remotest dreams. Many of them would have preferred themselves to be dead instead of others becoming victims in this accident.

Of course this after remorse may sound meaningless specially to the innocent victims and to their families. The drunk drivers being portrayed as not trustworthy in those circles. Whatever may be the case, nevertheless the entire responsibility and the blame of the drunk driving accidents its fatal injuries and deaths completely nailed upon them.

The great irony of conventional DUI prevention approach is that its advocates and the legal authorities seems not to care to know, what kind of alcohol drinks makes people “DRUNK” in the first place! They contend all kinds of alcohol drinks either low or high alcohol content cause drunk driving/accidents contrary to all those alcohol epidemiological research records which clearly shows only the alcohol drinks that contains around 4% and above alcohol content causes almost all drunk driving accidents!

However, the authorities defend the licensing all those high alcohol (around and above 4% and above v/v) content drinks arguing that these alcohol drinks only meant for those who are able to control or use them responsibly and safely! The alcohol vulnerable people prone to alcohol(ism) problems should not drink it at all.
By the way the authorities seem to conveniently forget that alcohol is a statutory drug. If its use causes any adverse harmful affect even in the minority of the people it’s licensing, marketing considered to be unlawful and banned until the authorities make it certain that it is safe to drink for the public consumption!

The crux of the matter is; all those alcohol(ism) drunk driving/accident problems primarily happens because of a ongoing ‘Alcohol Research Misconduct of the alcohol authorities contending - all alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them low or high nevertheless cause the alcohol(ism) problems’. This contention basically allows the licensing of all those high-alcohol content drinks in the name of ‘Standard Alcohol Drinks’, which causes almost all those alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving and its accidents. — The drunk drivers basically are the alcohol vulnerable gullible people made into the DUI scapegoats. I have explained about it in details in so many of my previous blog post one can find some of its links given at the end of this post.

Drunk driving and its accidents causes terrible destruction fatal injuries, deaths, which devastate hundreds of thousands of peoples life. I feel extremely sorry for those “innocent” victims and their families. However for various reasons they may not agree that the alcohol authorities also equally responsible for the drunk driving/accident problems. Instead they follow DUI official, position that entirely puts the blame on the gullible drunk drivers.

Contrary to the DUI official position, the “Drunk Driving Root-Cause” perspective position basically contends that the drunk drivers are the most unfortunate misunderstood tragic victims of various alcohol(ism) problems the drunk driving/accidents epitomizes it. Along with others many times they loose their own life or the life of their most loved ones. Subjected to heavy DUI penalties and torments branded as marauding criminals, murderers, sentenced to long imprisonments, their family falls apart into devastations, stigmatized for life.

To prevent drunk driving/accidents the drunk drivers and people close to them in their plight has to break away and come out of the authorities influence of the falsified DUI indoctrinations, which puts the entire blame on them while remaining utterly silent on the alcohol drink governing bosses who license and market those drunk driving causing high alcohol standard drinks. Expose their misconduct and to strike back. It would be a great fight for justice on the DUI principles in which they have nothing to loose but their SHACKLES!

This is the Principle document of this “Drunk Driving DUI: Root-Cause” weblog. It contends that the ongoing alcohol research “Misconduct” that basically causes all of the alcoholism problems including the DUI or the Drunk Driving problems that we see today. I regularly republish this document in this blog site so not to confine it to the archives. This is its latest updated version to the date.

Introduction:

This is a major “Scientific Misconduct” Allegation Report (SMAR) made in good faith. It is the outcome of my long years of study into the alcohol research that finally uncovered that the worlds leading alcohol(ism) problems preventions treatment research ‘institutions’ continue to carry on a major and most treacherous scientific/research misconduct. --- It causes various alcohol(ism) problems, the notorious among is the DUI or the drunk driving, its fatal accidents are the deadliest among all!

Background:

My quest started during the year1999 when I first discovered that by opting to the low-alcohol drinks, successfully removed my fast 15 years of chronic alcohol dependence or the alcoholism. Of course this Low-Alcohol Drinking (LAD) ‘wisdom remedy’ known since ancient times I only ‘re-discovered’ it with some modification and named it as the “Zero Alcohol Drink”(ZAD) method. In the year 2000, I was able to publish its book titled: “A Scientific Method to Minimize Alcohol: THE ZERO ALCOHOL DRINK THEORY”. Its book-review got published in THE NEW INDIAN EXPRESS – Science Express on Tuesday 20^th June 2000; and in the UK Journal “Addiction” (April 2001) 96, pp. 657-58. Thereafter its landmark website ‘Alcoholics Curewell’ http://www.geocities.com/alcoholics_curewell was launched in the year 2003.

However the ‘institutions’ dismissed this entire ZAD finding by basically saying that -- there are no such ‘academic’ research evidences to prove it. -- Even after two of my most important papers 1). “The WHO & USDHHS Promoted World Alcoholism Mess” 2). “Zero Alcohol Drink- Alcohol Detoxification Clinical Trial (ZAD-ADCT)” published in the year 2004 and 2005 subsequently, did not change their fundamental position on alcoholism prevention treatment.

Institutions fundamental Alcoholism Position:

The Alcoholism prevention treatment research institutions fundamental position, (promulgations) on this matter basically asserts that; ‘alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them high or low nevertheless cause alcoholism problems particularly in those vulnerable, “predisposed” people. Therefore, opting for low-alcohol drinking, to prevent or eliminate alcoholism particularly the dependence cannot succeed or such attempts bound to fail (due to the loss or “impaired control” symptom of the “alcohol dependence” ; ICD-10, DSM-IV, diagnostic criteria), if the people try it’.

No Research evidence of Low-Alcohol Drinks Causing Alcoholism:

My real breakthrough in this matter (uncovering or this scientific/research misconduct) came in 2006 when I started seriously searching for the institutions academic (empirical, clinical, epidemiological) research reports, evidences that supports their above mentioned fundamental alcoholism position. My search took me to look into those leading Alcoholism, preventions treatment research institutions peer-reviewed Journals reports publications. Thanks for the Internet, the world wide “web”, which made it all possible. My search included the most important “Medline Plus” . “PubMed” <http://etoh.niaaa.nih.gov/Pubmed.htm>. “ETHO” <http://etoh.niaaa.nih.gov/About.htm>. However to my utter shock I found absolutely NO such research evidence that basically suggest that the alcohol dependent people who opt for the Low-Alcohol Drinks in order prevent alcoholism problems nevertheless fail in their attempt! On the contrary there are quite a few research that I found, which clearly suggest that opting for the low-alcohol drinks indeed prevent people from most of the alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving and so from its fatal accidents!

“Standard Alcohol Drinks” Cause Alcohol(ism) Problems:

The most important thing that I learned from my study in this regard is that all the institutions alcohol(ism) problems prevention treatment research conclusions seems to based on the outcome of consuming the “standard alcohol drinks”. The most popular among them is the “standard beer” drink, which contains around 5% and above alcohol (v/v) content. Meanwhile, all these “alcohol research” seems to have totally omitted, ignored or neglected to verify or to check it out whether any of the excessive alcohol consumption, drunkenness, drunk driving its accidents etc. alcohol(ism) problems occurs in the people who prefer, choose or opt to drink the low-alcohol drinks, say containing around 2% or less alcohol v/v, (which is almost around half of the alcohol content of the standard beer) to prevent alcoholism.

All these research strongly confirms to the fact that the excessive alcohol consumption, drunkenness, alcohol(ism) problems in people most probably occur from consuming the “standard alcohol drinks”, which generally contains around and above 5% alcohol (Ironically, these are the same drinks, sanctioned by the institutions, in their much publicized “How to cut down, control, limit or moderate alcohol drinking”) and on the other hand there are NO such research evidences to prove that the alcohol “dependence” (ICD-10, DSM-IV, diagnostic criteria) or the alcohol(ism) problems occur in the people who choose to drink the ‘low-alcohol drinks’.

A Major Scientific/Research Misconduct Allegation Report:

It took me some time to realize that this principle “omission”, negligence or failure to conduct the alcohol research on this most critical Low-Alcohol drinks, brings in a basic default or “FALSIFICATION” into this entire alcoholism prevention, treatment research, which under the principles of “Ethics in Science” is defined as a Scientific or “Research Misconduct” on the part of the institutions. Thereby in a ‘good faith’ I wrote its extensive complaint titled “A Major Scientific Misconduct Allegation Report” (SMAR) containing two parts, (now made available in http://www.geocities.com/scientific_misconduct website) explaining in details many of its different aspect, fundamental points, basic facts, of this matter and send it to the Universities/Institutions most importantly to the NIAAA asking them to immediately undertake an inquiry into this SMAR under the US. Policy of Responding to Research Misconduct Allegation PHS CFR Part 93. <>.

NIAAA, Institutions Total Irresponsiveness to My SMAR:

However to my total dismay, majority of those university/institutions members most importantly the NIAAA, completely ignore it to the extent they don’t bother to send me even an initial acknowledgement response to it! This amounts to a reckless disregard or “violation of due process” by these institutions in such matters under the PHS scientific/research misconduct policy, including the Whistleblowers Bill or Rights, as it commands the institutions to send a written notice or acknowledgment in response to a scientific/research misconduct allegation report in the part of its ‘allegation assessment’ regulations.

Health Action:

Meanwhile, a beckon of hope to my SMAR comes from a leading health institution in India <http://www.chai-india.org>, which has shown a healthy interest and tried to help me by publishing it under the title: “A Major Scientific Misconduct Allegation Report”(in two parts) in the November and December (year 2006) issue of their health magazine called the "Health Action" in its ‘Research & Ethics’ section.

Final Appeal:

I am a lay person committed to social justice most of my life, now ended up with this major SMAR, which further escalated by its Whistleblowers complaint. From my disadvantaged position from India, it is most difficult for me to pursue this major public health research misconduct carried out by the leading alcohol research institutions mainly in the US. Ironically it is the US, which faces the drunk driving/accident problems due to this alcohol research misconduct more than anyone in the world today. So there is a serious need of the concerned people media to take up this major public health issue and to see to it that the concerned authorities undertake “A thorough, competent, objective, and fair response” mandated under the US Policy [PHS CFR Part 93. 300 (b), 304 (b)] of “Responding to Research Misconduct Allegation” for the sake of the worlds public health. Quantum Double-Slit NEW Innovative Thought Experiments

Introduction

Quantum Mechanics (QM) investigates the behaviors of matter basically at its subatomic or the Quantum level (atoms, protons, electrons, photons) at which the matter said to behave in an unpredictable or erratic manner. In other words, what we take for granted that will CERTAINLY HAPPEN in the human relativity (meter) world scale, happens quite differently or “weirdly” in the subatomic particle level explained in the Eisenberg’s “Uncertainty Principle”. It can be practically demonstrated in a famously known Double-Split (DS) experiment. First of all it shows us that matter at its sub-atomic level remains as an omnipotent WAVE when not observed or “not measured” but instantly becomes a PARTICLE when measured or observed! It follows that the subatomic matter can be at two (or more) places at the same time described as quantum Entanglement, Superposition or Non-Location. The most bizarre thing of all (so far) is that our present choice of observation (measurement) profoundly influences or changes its past (Delayed Choice Eraser)! However, we will never know all its outcome or the unpredictable RESULTS until we conduct the specific quantum DS experiments.

However, what I found out in here is; if we further make some new simple changes, i.e. add or remove few centimeters in width, length, distance, in the DS apparatus we can get some more or new FLUCTUATING results that may not consistent with the conventional QM results! For example, we may get Two Band pattern instead the INTERFERENCE pattern even when NOT measuring or observing the photons entering the slit or some entirely new kind of pattern will emerge, which has never been recorded before, which at the end may somewhat contradict the conventional QM results. Nevertheless the most important purpose of all the following DS thought experiments are to try to understand the quantum phenomenon such as Delayed Choice Eraser, Entanglement, Superposition or Non-location and more with some simple forms of the DS experiment so it becomes easy for a lay person like me to conceptualize it.

Conventional QM Double-Split Experiment

Let us first enter into a conventional QM’s DS experiment original set-up. One side of the room a Photon Emitter (PE) after which, at a given distance the experiments main DS apparatus, is a thin metal sheet of one millimeter (m/m) thickness having two slits and the middle gap between the two slits 0.5 m/m. At its back at a given distance an electronic screen device to record the photon hitting. Now when the photon emitter start sending the photon one by one towards the DS then a well known INTERFEARENCE pattern will be formed at the back screen. However if you install a Proton Detector (PD) on the entrance of a slit to see or measure from which slit each of the photon enters, amazingly enough only Two Bands will appear on the back screen. Of course both the results fully in accordance with the conventional QM Uncertainty Principle.

Now what will happen if we make a little change in the middle DS apparatus of this experiment? Perhaps there could be many such new QM experiments that the scientists yet to perform. However here I would like to present some of my laypersons ideas or thought experiments of introducing some new simple changes in the QM’s DS apparatus that could probably bring entirely new kind of variable or fluctuating patterns that has (perhaps) never been imagined before, put forward in the following:

Increasing Gap Between The Double-Slit - The First New Thought Experiment

In our first new DS experiment let us keep everything in this set-up same except increase the gap between the two slits (in the middle metal sheet apparatus ) from 0.5 m/m to 10 centimeters, which in fact 200 folds more than the old one. Start the PE sending the photons one at a time towards the slits with the detector OFF. After some longer time if we look at the back screen instead of the Interference pattern we will most probably see only Two Bands (adjusting the back screen close enough to the middle DS apparatus it may become still clear) which may seem contrary to the QM prediction. NEVERTHELESS if the photon behaves like wave “when not Observed”, two bands should appear in this first DS experiment! However if you switch ON the photon detector then once again one will get the prominent Two Bands exactly same as the QM do. In other words in this first new quantum DS experiment IRRESPECTIVE of the presence or absence of an Observer (PD) measurement, mostly two bands will be formed at the back screen. This is just the beginning to show how some changes in the quantum DS apparatus can create some fluctuating or erratic results. However this first DS experiment still creates the same conventional QM’s Interference and Two Band patterns if one increase or decrease the vertical width of the slits. Similarly replacing the photon with electron or white, blue red, laser etc lights, beams would not bring in such varying results.

Interestingly however, if we increase the horizontal width of the two slits considerably enough (keep all the rest the same) the resulting Interference pattern (if any) will be quite different from the conventional DS. Finally by increasing the horizontal width of one slit enough while keeping other slit same as before, the resulting pattern may be mostly a single band, like the outcome of a single slit or will it still perform the interference pattern? One cannot be any sure! The only CERTAINTY is when a Observer (PD turned ON) placed on the double slit the result will be always the same old Two Bands on the back screen no matter what the, distance, gap, width (vertical, horizontal) thickness of the DS apparatus.

Increasing The Thickness Of The Double-Slit – The Second Thought Experiment

In this second experiment once again let us keep everything in the set-up same except increasing the thickness of the DS sheet (middle apparatus) from the one (1) m/m to one meter, which in fact 1000 times more than the original set-up. Start the photon emitter sending photon towards the DS and put ON the PD (observer) to see through which slit each of the photon enters. After some time there will be the prominent two bands on the back screen exactly same as QM’s DS photon particle prediction. Now put OFF the detector and start the emitter. After sometime surprise, surprise! Unlike the QM prediction of Interference patterns, I guess there will be barely any photon hits recorded on the back screen! Because in my opinion, if the photons behaves like waves when not observed (detected), then as the wave enters into the splits while going through its one meter long passage due to its natural process of expanding it will hit both side of the slit-wall and bounce back interfering with itself creating some sort of random ripple effect inside the slit so when the next photon enters into the slit this photons ripples will hinder or block its passage as a result the photons which entered the slit somewhat fail to come out from the other side of the slit as expected.

Now to make the picture more clear let us make the sides walls inside the slit mirror-polished so all the photon waves hitting inside of the slits get reflected back more effectively (high utilization) so the next photon entering that slit get totally stuck so instead of the Interference on the back screen In the other experiment make the side walls of one slit black other highly mirror polished. The result (without detector) may be, in almost all the recorded photon hits on the screen only the half part of the photon hit registered while its other part missing in all the recorded photon hits on the screen. In one word when the Observer not present it would be totally a chaotic or messy scene. Therefore, all these experiments show that the QM claim of getting Two Band pattern in the DS experiment when Observed or measured is absolutely right! However the same claim of getting Interference pattern in the DS experiment when NOT Observed is NOT always right! This may suggest that matter can be confirmed more like a particle than a wave!

Simple New Innovative DS Experiment To Show Quantum Delayed Choice Eraser

In this experiment let us put two tubes laid parallel and attached to each other in a straight line, like a Double-Slit. However the most important change in this DS experiment is that the one side length of the tube is one Kilometer long ( name it A) but the other side cut short to only one meters long (name it B). A photon emitter on its entrance side where both slit joint opening and two separate electronic screens on its exist side, one after one Kilometer (A) and another after one Meter (B) to record the photons hits. Also two Photon Detectors (PD) placed one at the Joint entrance side and the other at the exit ‘A’ side to see in which the slit (tube) the photon enters or from which side it exit. The PD can be switched ON or OFF as and when required. Now let us start the photon emitter with the PD switched OFF (unobserved). After some time, according to the QM I guess, we most probably see some kind of Interference (wave) like pattern on both the screens A and B. However, a new strange quantum finding perhaps never been thought before may emerge. If the photon as a “wave” enters both the side and needs to get merged at the exit side to become one as the QM prediction then there needs to be some kind of back side photon connection (Wormhole?) from A to B! However it can also logically mean, now we know that the photon(s) hit recorded on the back screen “A” has “certainly” came through the slit “A” and the photon(s) hit recorded on the “B” screen has “certainly” came through the slit “B”. This fundamentally violets the QM Uncertainty Principle therefore only one single band each on both the screens ( total Two Bands) should be recorded even when the PD put OFF! What are the possibilities? Have anyone ever tried this DS experiment before?

Now if we switch ON the PD (or observe) at the entrance side, there we will clearly see one single band on both (A and B) screens (total Two Bands), which confirms the particle position of the QM’s DS experiment when observed. Now put OFF the PD at the entrance side but put ON the PD on the exit (back) side A. Perhaps the result will be the same, one single band each on both (A and B) screens exactly like the PD switched ON while at the entrance side. However there is a basic difference, as we know one side of the tube is only one meter long but the other side one kilometer , so the photon needs to take 1000 times more time to reach this (longer) side of the screen. Now when the second half of the photon (wave) about to come out of this exit side yet to be detected by the PD (observer) at A, the first half of the electron had already hit the short (B) side of the tube screen nearly1000 times earlier in the wave form. However since detecting (observing) the photon wave instantly collapses it into particle, the B side also needs to become a particle. For this to happen 1). This photon wave should have the ability to travel reverse back in time nearly 1000 times and ERASE the photon wave and replace it with a particle when the PD (Observer) switched ON, or 2). The photon wave has the ability somewhat to DELAY hitting the (short side) B screen until its other (longer) part completes its journey to decide whether to remain as a wave or become a particle, OR 3). Each and every photons since its BEGINNING of time knows beforehand whether it will end up detected (measured) by some observers or not thereby able to react accordingly (wave or particle) in the Universe. I think this DS experiment and its explanation , logically or conceptually simple for a lay person like me to understand the QM Delayed Choice Eraser phenomenon.

DS Experiments in Fiber Optic Cable To Show Quantum Entanglement

One can conduct this DS delayed eraser experiment also in a fiber optic cable so one can conduct it with thousands of kilometers long distance. Place two fiber optic cable facing opposite direction. A photon (or electron) emitter at the middle also a photon splitter and reflectors to split a single photon and send the two half’s on the opposite directions through the cable. One cable can be only one meter long and the other thousands of kilometers (one can keep the cable coiled round to make it easy). At the end of both the cables a electronic or computer screens to record the half photon hits also the a PD to detect photon at the longer end. The Delayed Choice Eraser quantum effect may be more profound in this experiment. However another most important quantum phenomena called Entanglement or Superposition in which the information travelling faster than the velocity of light (Non-Locality) can be shown in the following. Keep both the opposite cables thousands of kilometers and equal length. Now split one photons and send it on the opposite side. As we know the photons to travel at the velocity of light in the opposite direction, then that information or communication between them needs to travel at least twice (or far more) the speed of light for both the split photons to become particle instantaneously when we observe one of them at one end which is known as Non-Locality phenomenon. Once again, in my opinion this DS experiment is logically or conceptually simple for a layperson like me to understand the QM Entanglement or the Non-Location. Also all these DS experiment may suggest that at the quantum level matter can be confirmed more like a particle than a wave!

Quantum OBSERVER What Sense Qualification - Schrödinger’s Cat

In Quantum DS experiment the observers observation (of the subatomic quantum materials) always shown as the visual sight. Now, the question is what about observing or measuring it by senses other than the visual sight? What about measuring it by sound, smell or touch? Suppose in a quantum DS experiment the photon detector attach to a sound devise so when the photon enters the slit A it makes one kind of sound and another kind of sound if it enters into the slit B. We know according to the QM when the detector switched OFF there will be a Interference pattern at the back of the Screen. However when the detector switched ON, even when the detectors visual recording of the photon entering the slit completely absent (or ERASED before the observer can see it) still the Observer knows whether the photon entered the A or the B slit by the detector sound difference. Does this collapse the photon into particle thus record two bands on the back screen? One can conduct similar experiment with the touch and smell whether they can also act as the measuring observer medium. If it works then one NEED NOT open the Schrödinger’s Box to know the cats condition inside. One will certainly knows the cat is ALIVE and not DEAD as it constantly calls (sound) from inside the box.

There arise many such important questions about what qualifies a person to be an observer. Can a blind person or blindfolded serve as an Observer? Can a mentally challenged, retard or a small baby qualify as an observer? Can the animals, pets, higher primates qualify as the Observers? Suppose a dog or a chimp trained to look at the photon detector attached with light or sound so if the photon enters the A slit one color of light or sound emitted or if it enters the B another color or sound emitted , so the animals sees or hears two different colors or sounds when the photon enters the two different slits. Does this makes or qualifies the animals as Observers thus collapsing the wave function or the photon turning into particles, two bands on the back screen? Let us go one step further suppose the animals are trained to show (by some sign) to the experimenter, which color of light it saw or the sound it heard, when and how many times , would it collapse the wave function of the photon? If it turns out to be true then does it prove that the animals possesses the self consciousness, which the quantum spiritualist not so keen to discuss about?

Finally, I have many QM questions, for ex: if you switch ON a bulb inside a closed room ( accidently, not knowing it) from outside, according to QM there will be NO light shining inside as long as NO Observer to see inside and collapse the electro magnetic light wave into the particle! What about doing it with the proton emitter in a closed room sending photon on the screen while no one observing? Will there be any record of the photon particle left on the screen? Is this a silly nonsense question? I am a lay person and I have many such QM questions for which I seek answers and I would be very grateful if anyone provides the answers. Thank you for reading.

The ‘rights’ and the ‘wrongs’ of the Alcohol Prohibition remains one of the highly debated and hotly contentious issue. Historically it has been a long battle between the alcohol prohibitionist who advocated alcohol drinks are extremely dangerous for human consumption as it causes very many serious alcohol(ism) problems. Therefore all of them should be banded or totally prohibited! On the other hand the alcohol drink proponent and its industry advocates argued for its regulated, moderate and safe use mainly for its very many beneficial aspect and most importantly prevent its illegitimate trading and use for the social safety and security point of view.

History has proven again and again the fact, that the alcohol drinking cause serious alcohol(ism)problems so enormous harm to the society (more than tobacco smoking when compared with its violent crime, delinquency, DUI etc.). Nevertheless imposing the ‘ Total Alcohol Prohibition’ makes the problems still more worse as it gives raises to alcohol bootlegging corruption, crime Mafia etc! Therefore it is been realized that the better way out of it is; first of all to educate people about the harms, dangerous involved in the alcohol consumption, so to teach them about its moderate or safe use. Together with bring in strict regulation over its quality, sales to ensure its moderate and safe use and to prevent its misuse! With such powerfully convincing argument most importantly to stamp-out the bootlegging crime Mafia and the official corruptions the alcohol prohibition repealed! So the proponents of the alcohol drink had won and alcohol prohibitionist had to accept the defeat in their main battle to bring in total alcohol prohibition.

Nevertheless they succeeded in bringing in some very stringent alcohol policy regulation such as imposing high alcohol taxes, increase of legal drinking age, restricting the time and places of alcohol consumption, imposing stringent DUI, BAC limits and its law enforcement with its sever punishment to the drink drivers etc. However the alcohol industry successfully adapted to these regulations mainly by exploiting a big “loophole” of their opponents own making!

The main reason or the big loophole that resulted in the alcohol Prohibitionists mission defeat or failure is their own dogmatic BELIEF, borrowed from the institutions alcoholism doctrines, which overzealously advocates; “all alcoholic beverages no matter the alcohol content in them high or low potentially cause alcohol(ism) problems”.

The alcohol industry exploited this claim to their full advantage. So now the opponents can not blame them for manufacturing and marketing the extremely dangerous high alcohol content beverage under the banner of Standard Alcohol Drinks (instead of the relatively safe low-alcohol drinks), as they themselves argue that the ‘low-alcohol drinks also potentially as well can cause alcohol(ism) problems!’ This allows the alcohol industry to manufacture and market those highly profitable, high alcohol content standard alcohol drinks, ironically at the expense of its own opponent’s claims which basically asserts that ‘there are not much safety difference between the high and the low-alcohol drinks so they are equally bad if not more’! I have explained it extensively in my paper “Alcohol Research Misconduct: Cause Drunk Driving”, published in the previous blog post.

Therefore the main reason for alcohol prohibitionist mission failure is their own making! Their own preposterous and dogmatic belief that advocates “in the matters of alcohol drinking there are not much safety difference between the high and the low-alcohol drink”. This stands quite CONTRARY to the available alcohol epidemiological research and its surveys, which basically points to the fact that almost all alcohol(ism) problems caused by the extremely dangerous high alcohol content drinks named as the “standard Alcohol Drinks (SADs)”, very popular among is the regular beer that contains around and above 4% alcohol, which can treacherously lead specially alcohol vulnerable gullible people inadvertently into excessive alcohol consumption thus into very many serious alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/accidents! On the other hand there are absolutely no such research evidences to prove that the Low-Alcohol Drinks (LADs, preferably having around and below 2% alcohol) causing any of these alcohol(ism) problems most importantly the drunk driving/accidents.

Now this gives an opportunity to the alcohol prohibitionist to turn the table and beat the alcoholism causing, high profit making high-alcohol Standard Drinks proponents and the industry at their own game! They should rectify their historical mistake by wisely following the alcohol(ism) epidemiological research and the survey.

On its basis they should demand all the high alcohol drinks which comes under the banner of SADs should be banned and only the low alcohol content drinks should be allowed essentially for the moderate and safe public consumption! Or at least the former should be taxed two or three times higher than the latter. In other words one alcohol drink unit (around 10 to 13 grams of pure alcohol) in the SADs should be priced two or three times higher than the same amount of alcohol in the LADs having 2% v/v or less alcohol content in it.

The greatest advantage of exempting the LADs from the prohibition is that it will significantly prevent the reemergence of the Alcohol Bootlegging, its Corruption, Criminal Mafia, which is the main enemy of the alcohol prohibition all the while that is why historically they could not succeed! If the good quality LADs legally made available that too at its cost price, most of the alcohol drinkers would not go for the illegal (prohibited) high alcohol content SADs that would be highly expensive. After all they will have the opportunity of consuming same amount of alcohol if they like, still it would cost them far less! This will win more alcohol drinkers into its fold. Therefore it will have greater chances of succeeding than the total ban or prohibitions on all alcoholic beverage drinking!

Overall the prohibition on the SADs would act like a double edged sword. On the one hand it would cut off most of the profit of the alcohol industry because the main secret of their high profit lies in the high-alcohol content drinks that they sell. In general higher the alcohol content higher goes their profit margins and vice versa. On the other hand it will cut down the fertile grounds of the all alcohol drink total prohibition on which the alcohol bootlegging mafia mostly flourish!

Basically, the imposition Alcohol Prohibition or stringent restriction over the SADs would greatly help in eradicating most of the alcoholism problems including the DUI Drunk Driving/accidents mostly out from our society, which I believe is the main historic mission of alcohol prohibition. Therefore instead of treating all the alcohol drinks as equally bad the prohibitionist need to treat the high alcohol drinks as extremely dangerous nevertheless the low alcohol drinks greatly beneficial to their mission.

Standard Alcohol Drinks* (SADs), which features at the forefront in the Government and all the other alcohol research, prevention, treatment institutions much publicized moderate (safe, low-risk, controlled) drinking promulgations indeed extremely dangerous for Human consumption.

My above contention based on the available alcohol(ism) epidemiological research and the survey reports which basically points to the fact that almost all the serious alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving accidents are caused by the high-alcohol content drinks (containing around and above 4% alcohol), which the authorities license under the banners or “Standard Alcohol Drinks” – On the other hand there absolutely no such evidence which proves that the low-alcohol (preferably around and below 2% alcohol)drinks causing any such alcohol(ism)problems.

Now the most important thing to know in this is; whenever the alcohol(ism) epidemiological research, surveys points to the alcohol(ism) problems it basically points to the SADs unless it specifically mentions the name of the “Low-Alcohol Drinks”. The SADs remains so ubiquitous in all alcohol(ism) problems research that any one questioning its evidence is like questioning the evidence of salt water in the sea water!

In this post I provide the authorities description or the stipulations of the Standard Alcohol Drinks here below.

*A Standard Alcohol Drink is calculated around 10grms to 13grams of pure alcohol in essence .

In general, its different levels of concentration in the drinks (V/V) categorized in distinct forms or kinds

makes it essentially different from each other.

In the US scale of measurement it comes to:

1.5 ounce of 80-prof distilled spirit (around 40% alcohol v/v)

one 5-ounce glass of wine (around 12% alcohol v/v)

one 12-ounce bottle of beer (around 5% alcohol v/v)

In the European scale of measurement it comes to:

A single shot of spirits or liquor of 40ml. (around 40% alcohol v/v).

A glass of wine or sherry of 140ml. (around 12% alcohol v/v).

One can of beer of 300ml. (around 5% alcohol v/v).

It makes the people to think that the standard beer that contains around 5% alcohol

is the lowest alcohol content in the alcohol drink standards!

Please note, there is the conspicuous absence of Low-alcohol Drinks

in there, which can make the people to think it is inferior or the down-standards.

Alcohol Drinking: Is It A Matter of Choice?

The “alcohol governing authorities” make the general public to believe that the alcohol drinkers have been given the “Choice” to select and consume any alcohol drinks made available in the market under their license! But at the same they seriously warn them not to “misuse” or indulge into high amount of (excessive) alcohol consumption that could lead them into serious alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving accidents! It would be their own fault if they fall into it so should take its full responsibility of its terrible consequences! They should not blame it on anyone else except on themselves!

However the basic facts about the alcohol drinks “choice” that the public doesn’t know is: all the alcohol epidemiological research and the surveys basically points to the fact that almost all those alcohol(ism) problems caused by the “High Alcohol” drinks having around and above 4% alcohol content, licensed by the authorities under the banner of “Standard Alcohol Drinks(SADs). On the other hand there are absolutely no such research evidences that fundamentally proves that the consumption of “Low-Alcohol Drinks ” (LADs) having alcohol around and below 2% causes any of these alcohol(ism)

However quite contrary the above research fact the alcohol authorities proclaim; “all alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them high or low potentially cause the alcohol(ism) problems”. It is mainly due to their “alcohol research misconduct”, as they don’t distinguish or demarcate between the high-alcohol drinks that causes serious alcohol(ism) problems and the low-alcohol drinks which does not and callously license both those drinks under the guise of providing the public with so many alcohol drinks choices!

The alcohol authorities who put forward such arguments seems to completely forget the principles of safe drug policy. Alcohol is a statutory drug therefore its licensing and marketing (safety aspect) strictly monitored. If any drinks that contains this drug over a given safe limit that becomes dangerous for the public consumption then its license immediately needs to be revoked or cancelled!--- It is only below that dangerous levells when it is proven safe for the public consumption then only it should be licensed and made available for the general public consumption. Therefore any alcohol drinking factors or elements, which causes that causes the dangerous health (alcoholism) problems stand to be eliminated!

Indeed there are some very strict alcohol drinks regulations or the measures placed over the alcohol drinking . The most important among is its consumption strictly beeing prohibited to the alcohol vulnerable young or the underage people! Any adult who provide alcohol drinks to those young considered to be committing a serious offense specially when it involves drunk driving/accidents! The place and the times of its sales severely restricted, its consumption not allowed in the public places. Its drinking banned in all work places, academic institutions, etc. & etc.

Now comes the following question.--- If the alcohol is considered to be such a dangerous substance then why the alcohol authorities license it for the public consumption? Why not enforce total ban (prohibition) on all alcohol drinks so to eliminate the entire alcoholism problem?

There are two main reasons, which keeps away the authorities from imposing total alcohol prohibition! ---The first one is; majority of people who consume the alcohol drinks said to be consuming it safely or moderately without any such alcohol(ism) problems. Moreover the “Moderate” alcohol consumption provides great drinking pleasures considered as beneficial in many respects! The second main reason that is equally important is; it is a very well established fact that total prohibition or banning of all alcohol drinks gives raise to so many of the underground, illegal, alcohol smuggling trade, bootlegging criminal mafia, corruption etc., which are far worse than not having the alcohol prohibition!—---I have explained this matter extensively in my lattest blog post titled; “Alcohol prohibitions: Mission Failuer Reason”.

Therefore the authorities license the alcohol drinks and permit its consumption in order to prevent the criminalization of the total prohibition and on the other hand to allow the drink for a safe, moderate or healthy alcohol consumption. To ensure this it places heavy supervision, stringent rules and regulations to prevent its misuse or the alcohol(ism) problems!

So now comes the most critical question; if the main objective of licensing the alcohol drinks is to fulfill the above mentioned purpose then instead of licensing the extremly dangerous high-alcohol content drinks why not license only the low-alcohol drinks as it totally fullfills the main objective of the licensing the alcohol drinks. It specially provides maximum drink satisfaction pleasures with less alcohol consmption so mostly prevent the people inadvertantly consuming excessive alcohol consumptions and prevent them from falling into the alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/accidents.

However the authorities still stick to their spurious, old irresponsible position and argue that “we or any one do not force or compel any people to consume the high-alcohol drinks. It is primarily the drinkers choice if they want them! ----It is not right to impose ban or severe restriction on the high-alcohol drinks just because it leads the vulnerable people into excessive alcohol consumption and into the alcoholism problems.--- The vulnerable people should not drink the alcohol at all if they have any problems with it! Or to drink whatever Low-alcohol drinks if they find it safe at all!

It is mainly to defend or justify their “Alcohol Research Misconduct” that authorities put forward such unscrupulous argument. ---- However it is the alcohol industry that stands to mostly gain from it! Higher the alcohol content in the drink higher price and the profit margin they get!

To attain their super high profit margins, the alcohol industry mainly focus on manufacturing the high alcohol content SADs. The highly promote it in their marketing campaign, advertisements, hoardings, banners, sponsorship movies etc., All of them glamorize the high alcohol content SADs. They attribute all the imaginary qualities to it that boosts about its high powers, super strength that can provide great pleasures and make its drinkers super heroes.

In front of this SADs grandeur the image of the LADs becomes dwarfed, insignificant, inferior below the alcohol drinking standards. It is been made to look like it is mainly for those who can not handle their alcohol drinks, for the weak and the frails! The stronger adults do not choose such insignificant LOW alcohol content drinks, which lower their status!

Among its target are those alcohol vulnerable, gullible drinkers who easily fall into such high-alcohol drinks marketing ploy! The advertizements of the SADs capitivates and beguiles them so much so that they readily make a choice of opting to it. But unfortunately the high alcohol content in the drink makes them to loose control over the drinking and consume alcohol in excessive amount get highly intoxicated , drunk that seriously impairs their judgment. In this state so many of become inadvertently suicidal and get behind the wheels and get into drunk driving. Here they not only endanger their life but most terribly endanger other innocent people to whom without warning they suddenly bring total devastations deaths on thousands of those innocent peoples life.

Now suddenly the law enforcement authorities wake up and heavily come upon the drunk drivers. ---But it is already too late for the innocent victims! The authorities invariably catch the drunk drivers punish them in whatever ways possible. See to it that they are beeing publically humiliated, branded as criminals, killers, murderers and sentenced to long years of imprisonment! Meanwhile the alcohol drink governing bosses who licenced and marketed such extreemly dangerous alcohol(ism) problem causing drinks, totally exempted from any of its blame on the basis that drinkers have been provided with the choice of many kinds of alcohol drinks. If any of its proved dangerous then they should be entirly blamed for it and should face all its consequences.

The high-alcohol content drinks in essence extremely dangerous DRUG far more deadlier than the illegal narcotic drugs especially when it comes to causing the fatal DUI accidents. Therefore the alcohol governing authorities have committed a serious criminal blunder in licensing the high (around and above 4%) alcohol for the general public consumption in the name of providing the drinker theirs alcohol drink choice.

Alcohol Bosses: The Real Culprits

My above allegation in the drunk driving issue is based on the available alcohol epidemiological research and its surveys. It basically points to the fact that almost all alcohol(ism) problems caused by those extremely dangerous high-alcohol (generally around and above 4% alcohol content)drinks, which the authorities license for the public consumption in the name of “Standard Alcohol Drinks” (SADs). Popular among is the regular beer that contains around and above 4% alcohol, which treacherously lead the vulnerable people into excessive alcohol consumptions and into serious alcohol(ism) problems including the most notorious drink driving/accidents.

However “people” in the forefront of the drunk driving prevention advocacy, totally ignore the basic fact or part of the alcohol drinks involved in it and put its “entire” blame only the drunk drivers! Of course they make some exemptions in the case of underage people falling into the drunk driving incidents. Considering their alcohol vulnerable, gullible young age, the parents or the party host or any one if they provide or in any way facilitated the underage drinking, stand accused as collaborators in its crime. In some other cases the bartenders or the owners of the pub made responsible for serving a person the alcohol drinks, if then he/she proceeds into the drunk driving specially in the case of its accidents.

It shows that the drunk driving can not be entirely blamed upon the drunk drivers alone. People who provide or facilitate those potentially drunk driving causing alcohol drinks also considered as responsible directly or indirectly playing a part in it. However when it comes to the Alcohol Drink Governing bosses those who license and market those drunk driving causing alcohol drinks for the public consumption totally exempted and exonerated from any of its responsibility or the blame!

In the list of “Alcohol Drink Governing Bosses”, I first name all the alcohol(ism) problems research, its policy making, and the licensing authorities responsible for allowing or sanctioning such extremely dangerous alcohol(ism) drunk driving causing drinks for the public consumption.

Thereafter comes the alcohol drink manufacturing marketing industry bosses. (despite their main role in supplying the drinks, I put them in the second place because without the alcohol authorities licensing, its manufacturing and marketing becomes illegal thus can not function as it is.) They in order to obtain their super high alcohol profit entice, bewitch the public into wanting to drink such extremely dangerous SADs by their deceiving, unscrupulous promotions campaigns! It promise to make them super heroes with its great pleasures that captivates the alcohol gullible people and prompts them into buying and consuming such a extremely dangerous high-alcohol content drinks.

Thirdly in this list I point to the Government officials to whom the alcohol drinks taxes are a great source of revenue income as their share in the alcohol drinks sales profit to aid the nations economy! Perhaps taxing heavily on those extremely dangerous alcohol drinks is a right thing to do under the circumstances. However at the same time they should equally share the responsibility and the liability to pay the compensation for the alcohol(ism) drunk driving victims!

The drunk driving prevention advocates who indoctrinate the public with their highly emotive, vindictive campaign that puts its entire blame on the drunk drivers. By doing so they very much serve the interest of the Alcohol Bosses! As it successfully hides or protects them from their misgivings or the “alcohol research misconduct” in this matters.

As long as those alcohol governing bosses license and market such extremely dangerous high alcohol drinks for the public consumption such tragic drunk driving accidents going to continue. The alcohol vulnerable gullible people who have unwittingly fall into the drunk driving made into the DUI scapegoats.

The drunk drivers branded as criminal or murders brought before the DUI law justice system and severely punished for the drunk driving/accidents whenever possible! However the real culprits hidden behind instigating it are the Alcohol Drink Governing Bosses. The drunk driving prevention advocates authorities remain totally silent about them. It makes them free and unrestrained to continue to cause their alcohol(ism) drinks problems that includes the drunk driving mayhem!

Why Driving With High BAC Is Wrong –

While Licensing of High-Alcohol Drinks Not?

Drunk Driving or Driving Under Influence (DUI) defined as having Blood Alcohol Count(BAC) over and above a given safe limit or levels. In the US having 0.08 BAC and above while driving is considered as a serious DUI offense whether it had caused accidents or not!

The BAC limit in driving and the DUI offense punishment over and above its limit, is mainly based on the alcohol epidemiological and particularly the drunk driving or DUI accidents research studies, which clearly points to the fact that people driving with the BAC above the given safe limit significantly increase their risk of getting into the accidents endangering their and the others life. The higher the drivers BAC the more the risk! On the other hand the comparative risk of the drivers getting into the accidents having the BAC levels below the given (0.08) level almost same as people driving with no BAC. Therefore it scientifically and legally cannot be considered as “dangerous” so an offense.

However when it comes to the licensing and marketing the high (around and above 4%) alcohol content drinks that causes almost all the alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/accidents, the authorities seem to apply a very different set of logic or a double talk as they proclaim all “alcohol drinks irrespective of the levels of the alcohol content in them high or low potentially cause serious alcohol(ism) problems!”

The authorities above official position is quite contrary to the available alcohol epidemiological research surveys, which basically points to the fact that almost all the alcohol(ism) problems caused by the high-alcohol drinks having generally around and above 4% alcohol content. On the other hand there are no such evidence that the low alcohol drinks having the alcohol content preferably around and below 2% causing any such serious alcohol(ism) problems. Therefore the authorities above stand claiming all alcohol drinks potentially causing the alcohol(ism) problems is a blatant lie or a scientific fraud amounting to a serious misconduct on their part.

Apart from their claim that all (high or low) alcohol drinks potentially cause alcohol[ims] problems, another main reason why the authorities do not want to impose a safe limit on the alcohol drug content in the drinks, is that it will heavily slash-down the high profit of the alcohol industry, which mainly rely up on the high-alcohol (generally having around and above 4% alcohol content) drinks marketing to obtain their super high profit. Therefore its powerful industrial lobby would not allow the imposition of this safe alcohol content limits on the alcohol drinks to happen. They cleverly argue that, it is up to the people to drink it responsibly! Most people who drink alcohol do not fall into the alcohol(ism) problems* therefore if anyone finds it causing any problems then they should immediately stop the drinking of it thereafter!

(*Most people drunk [having above the 0.08 BAC] and drive also do not fall into any such accident problems, does it make drunk driving safe? Or do they have to get into the accidents to stop them from the drunk driving thereafter? Advising the people to consume high alcohol standard drinks responsibly so they do not fall into the alcohol(ism) problems is like telling the drunk drivers to drive responsibly so they do not fall into its accidents!)

However the authorities seem to conveniently forget that alcohol is a statutory drug. If its use causes any adverse harmful affect even in the minority of the people it’s licensing considered to be unlawful until the authorities make it certain that it is safe to drink! However in the case alcohol drink licensing and marketing all its safety precautions thrown out the window to appease the alcohol drink governing bosses. To enable the industry bosses to obtain their high profit and to collect huge alcohol tax revenues to the Government bosses and not to mention the large sums for the bosses working in the alcohol(ism) research (grants, consultant treatment fees etc) its prevention, treatment field.

The only people to loose in all this are the high-alcohol drink vulnerable, gullible people. As the result of their consumption of these high-alcohol drinks licensed and marketed under the banner of Standard Alcohol Drinks’ they inadvertently fall victims to serious alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving.

Finally let me conclude focusing on the title - “Why Driving With High BAC Is Wrong While Licensing of High-Alcohol Drinks Not?” - The drunk driving accident research studies basically points to the fact that the people driving having the BAC over and above a given limit (say 0.08 BAC) significantly increase their risk of getting into driving accidents. -Similarly the alcohol epidemiological research basically points to the fact that almost all alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/accident caused by the high-alcohol drinks generally having around and above 4% alcohol content. Therefore licensing and marketing the drinks having above 4% alcohol content should be should be considered most dangerous like the drunk driving having above 0.08 BAC levels.

Four Main Question Answers On Drunk Driving Causing Alcohol Drinks

Here I put forward four main questions before the alcohol drinks (research, license, DUI law etc) governing authorities. It is mainly to prove that only those high-alcohol drinks, which contains around and below 4% alcohol content causes almost all those alcohol(ism) including the drunk driving problem. On the other hand the low-alcohol drinks that contains around and above 2% alcohol cause none of those alcohol problems. The four main questions in the following:

1). Do the authorities have any alcohol research evidence that proves that the distilled alcohol drinks or spirits that contains around 40% v/v alcohol cause any DUI incidents or accidents?--- The authorities answer immediately could be a yes! They can show you hundreds of such evidences even every day. So let us move on to the second question.

2). Do they have any evidence that the “Wines” that contains around 12% alcohol cause any of the DUI accidents?--- Of course the authorities answer to this also an affirmative yes, they can also show such evidences every day. -- Now the third question,

3). Do they have any evidence to show that the consumption of standard beer or any alcohol drinks, which contains around 4% and above alcohol can result in the DUI accidents? ----The answer is a resounding YES! --- In fact the authorities may contend that most of the fatal DUI accidents seems to have been caused by the drivers drinking this regular beer!---Therefore the beer probably is the most dangerous in this respect. Strangely enough this leads to the conclusion that the lower the alcohol content in the drink the more the drunk driving incidents or the accidents it causes!

4). So we arrive at the final and the most important question to complete this questionnaire :- Do the authorities have any evidence that the consumption of the low-alcohol drinks containing around 2% or less alcohol content cause any of these DUI incidents and most importantly its accidents? I am sure that they do not have any research evidence to prove it! Therefore most probably they would immediately try to evade this question! It is mainly because they do not have any such fundamental evidence despite their claim that the consumption of low-alcohol drinks also potentially cause the alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/accidents.

Now to cut short the lengthy explanation about the root cause of all those drunk driving or the DUI problems, let me straight away point out that it basically occurs due to a major “alcohol research misconduct”.

Drunk Drivers Fight Back: You Have Nothing to Loose But Your Shackles

The tragic news of drunk driving accidents, injuries and its fatal deaths widely published in the media. They mostly project the drunk driver as a marauding criminal who ‘intentionally’ go maiming, murdering people on their way!

However this conventional stereotype image of the drunk drivers projected DUI prevention advocates and the authorities remains far from the truth. Many times the DUI victims are the co-passengers, traveling in the same fateful vehicle if not the drunk drivers themselves. They are the close family members, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, close relatives dear friends, and colleges of the drunk drivers rather than someone out side their vehicle, the public!

People who are close to the drunk drivers most of the times would say that the person never would do or did such a thing INTENTIONALLY. They had never thought human life would be lost as the direct result of their drunk driving even in their remotest dreams. Many of them would have preferred themselves to be dead instead of others becoming victims in this accident.

Of course this after remorse may sound meaningless specially to the innocent victims and to their families. The drunk drivers being portrayed as not trustworthy in those circles. Whatever may be the case, nevertheless the entire responsibility and the blame of the drunk driving accidents its fatal injuries and deaths completely nailed upon them.

The great irony of conventional DUI prevention approach is that its advocates and the legal authorities seems not to care to know, what kind of alcohol drinks makes people “DRUNK” in the first place! They contend all kinds of alcohol drinks either low or high alcohol content cause drunk driving/accidents contrary to all those alcohol epidemiological research records which clearly shows only the alcohol drinks that contains around 4% and above alcohol content causes almost all drunk driving accidents!

However, the authorities defend the licensing all those high alcohol (around and above 4% and above v/v) content drinks arguing that these alcohol drinks only meant for those who are able to control or use them responsibly and safely! The alcohol vulnerable people prone to alcohol(ism) problems should not drink it at all.

The crux of the matter is; all those alcohol(ism) drunk driving/accident problems primarily happens because of a ongoing ‘Alcohol Research Misconduct of the alcohol authorities contending - all alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them low or high nevertheless cause the alcohol(ism) problems’. This contention basically allows the licensing of all those high-alcohol content drinks in the name of ‘Standard Alcohol Drinks’, which causes almost all those alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving and its accidents. — The drunk drivers basically are the alcohol vulnerable gullible people made into the DUI scapegoats. Drunk driving and its accidents causes terrible destruction fatal injuries, deaths, which devastate hundreds of thousands of peoples life. I feel extremely sorry for those “innocent” victims and their families. However for various reasons they may not agree that the alcohol authorities also equally responsible for the drunk driving/accident problems. Instead they follow DUI official, position that entirely puts the blame on the gullible drunk drivers.

Contrary to the DUI official position, the “Drunk Driving Root-Cause” perspective position basically contends that the drunk drivers are the most unfortunate misunderstood tragic victims of various alcohol(ism) problems the drunk driving/accidents epitomizes it. Along with others many times they loose their own life or the life of their most loved ones. Subjected to heavy DUI penalties and torments branded as marauding criminals, murderers, sentenced to long imprisonments, their family falls apart into devastations, stigmatized for life.

To prevent drunk driving/accidents the drunk drivers and people close to them in their plight has to break away and come out of the authorities influence of the falsified DUI indoctrinations, which puts the entire blame on them while remaining utterly silent on the alcohol drink governing bosses who license and market those drunk driving causing high alcohol standard drinks. Expose their misconduct and to strike back. It would be a great fight for justice on the DUI principles in which they have nothing to loose but their SHACKLES!

A SAFE Alcohol Drinks Licensing Policy

Here under the ‘Alcohol(ism) problems prevention perspective’; I propose: a new “safe standard alcohol drinks licensing policy” before the Concerned Governments.

All alcohol(ism) problem causing standard alcohol drinks having around 4% and above alcohol (v/v) should be considered as the “high-alcohol drinks” so very dangerous for human consumption therefore should be placed under strong restrictions or should be heavily taxed. On the other hand the low-alcohol drinks having around and below 2% alcohol should be promoted under the license as “safe” standard alcohol drinks for the public consumption.

In other words; all the high-alcohol drinks should be levied heavy or double tax. Which means a standard alcohol drink (10 to 13 grams Of pure alcohol) in the 4% and above alcohol(v/v) drinks category should cost two times or more than the same amount alcohol in the low-alcohol drinks having around 2% or less alcohol. This is mainly to encourage people to opt for the low-alcohol drinks in which alcohol becomes far more cheaper (it would also provide a ideal grounds for the alcohol epidemiological research) compared to the high-alcohol drinks!

Low-Alcohol Drinks To Prevent Drunk Driving

Alcohol epidemiological research and its survey reports basically points to the fact that the alcohol-drinks having around and above 4% alcohol content (starting from the regular beers) licensed under the banner of Standard Alcohol Drinks causes almost all alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/DUI/accidents.

On the other hand there are no such research evidence or records that proves that the low-alcohol drinks preferably containing around and below 2% alcohol content causing any such alcohol problems specially the drunk driving or the DUI. This clearly indicates that the low-alcohol drinks are SAFE for human consumption and cause and there is absolutely no epidemiological records of it causing the drunk driving most importantly its fatal accidents.

Therefore on the basis of this alcohol epidemiological research the best solution to prevent the drunk driving problems the Government should ban or place strong restrictions (heavily tax) all those alcohol(ism) problems causing high-alcohol content (4% and above) drinks. At the same time promote the no-alcoholism causing low-alcohol drinks containing around and below 2% alcohol. It should be considered and licensed as the SAFE Standard Alcohol Drinks for the public consumption.

In fact, the root-cause of drunk driving lies basically in the MISCONDUCT, of the alcohol drink Governing Bosses for making no distinction between alcoholism causing and non-alcoholism causing alcohol drinks for public consumption to safeguard their common vested interest. As long as they continue to license and market the above mentioned extremely dangerous high-alcohol (around and above 4%) content drinks for the public consumption in the name of “standard alcohol drinks” those alcohol(ism), DUI mayhem will continue more or less much the same!

Authors Note:- This is the Principle document of this “Drunk Driving DUI: Root-Cause” weblog. It provides an alternative view on Drunk Driving and its prevention. It is fundamentally different from the conventional or the official DUI, DWI view prevailing today. I regularly republish this document in this blog site so not to confine it to the archives. This is its latest updated version to the date.

However the ‘institutions’ dismissed this entire ZAD finding by basically saying that -- there are no such ‘academic’ research evidences to prove it. -- Even after two of my most important papers 1). “The WHO & USDHHS Promoted World Alcoholism Mess” 2). “Zero Alcohol Drink- Alcohol Detoxification Clinical Trial (ZAD-ADCT)” published in the year 2004 and 2005 subsequently, did not change their fundamental position on alcoholism prevention treatment.

Institutions fundamental Alcoholism Position

The Alcoholism prevention treatment research institutions fundamental position, (promulgations) on this matter basically asserts that; ‘alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them high or low nevertheless cause alcoholism problems particularly in those vulnerable, “predisposed” people. Therefore, opting for low-alcohol drinking, to prevent or eliminate alcoholism particularly the dependence cannot succeed or such attempts bound to fail (due to the loss or “impaired control” symptom of the alcohol dependence), if the people try it’.

No Research evidence of Low-Alcohol Drinks Causing Alcoholism

“Standard Alcohol Drinks” Cause Alcohol(ism) Problems

The most important thing that I learned from my study in this regard is that all the institutions alcohol(ism) problems prevention treatment research conclusions seems to based on the outcome of consuming the “standard alcohol drinks”. The most popular among them is the “standard beer” drink, which contains around 5% and above alcohol (v/v) content. Meanwhile, all these “alcohol research” seems to have totally omitted, ignored or neglected to verify or to check it out whether any of the excessive alcohol consumption, drunkenness, drunk driving its accidents etc. alcohol(ism) problems occurs in the people who prefer, choose or opt to drink the low-alcohol drinks, say containing around 2% or less alcohol v/v, (which is almost around half of the alcohol content of the standard beer) to prevent alcoholism.

All these research strongly confirms to the fact that the excessive alcohol consumption, drunkenness, alcohol(ism) problems in people most probably occur from consuming the “standard alcohol drinks”, which generally contains around and above 5% alcohol (Ironically, these are the same drinks, sanctioned by the institutions, in their much publicized “How to cut down, control, limit or moderate alcohol drinking”) and on the other hand there are NO such research evidences to prove that the alcohol “dependence” (ICD-10, DSM-IV, diagnostic criteria) or the alcohol(ism) problems occur in the people who choose to drink the ‘low-alcohol drinks’.

A Major Scientific/Research Misconduct Allegation Report

It took me some time to realize that this principle “omission”, negligence or failure to conduct the alcohol research on this most critical e Low-Alcohol drinks, brings in a basic default or “FALSIFICATION” into this entire alcoholism prevention, treatment research, which under the principles of “Ethics in Science” is defined as a Scientific or “Research Misconduct” on the part of the institutions. Thereby in a ‘good faith’ I wrote its extensive complaint titled “A Major Scientific Misconduct Allegation Report” (SMAR) containing two parts, (now made available in http://www.geocities.com/scientific_misconduct website) explaining in details many of its different aspect, fundamental points, basic facts, of this matter and send it to the Universities/Institutions most importantly to the NIAAA asking them to immediately undertake an inquiry into this SMAR under the US. At present, my main work on this “Drunk Driving Root-Cause” perspective mostly complete. Now a days I mostly engage in commenting on drunk driving news reports in the media based on that perspective.

However since the month of February 2008, I mainly started working on my life time aspiration i.e. finding and showing out an effective solution to root-out CORRUPTION from human society. Now I believe that I achieved it by bringing out this most important document of my life time titled : “IT To Root-Out Corruption”. At present I am totally involved in its initial work. Perhaps it will take some months for me to complete all its initial task.

So for the time being I will not be able carry on my usual DUI news comment except this time to time reminder post on this site. Drunk Driving Root-Cause comments on this matter in the following.

If there is any one serious danger that would turn the alcohol drinkers who drive becoming a criminal is the Drunk driving or the DUI. Alcohol do not discriminate. People who usually would never commit any such crimes like the high ranking authorities, officers, professionals if they drink and drive believing they are within its limit, most likely to get it wrong and unwittingly become the victims and made into a criminal!

The great tragedy of the drunk driving is that the real culprits behind all those drunk driving, never been accused of this crime and being let to roam totally free to continue with this mayhem.

I contend the above on the basis of the alcohol epidemiological research surveys, which basically points to the fact that almost all those alcohol(ism) problems particularly the drunk driving caused by those extremely dangerous high alcohol drug (around and above 5%) contained drinks, licensed and marketed by the "Alcohol Drink Governing Bosses" under the banner of “Standard Alcohol Drinks” and ENTICE the public into drinking it. The most popular are the regular beer (around 5% alcohol), which treacherously lead the people into excessive alcohol consumption thus into serious alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving/accidents! On the other hand there are no such research evidence that points out that the low-alcohol drinks (preferably having around and below 2% alcohol) causing any of those problems.

However the authorities license those high-alcohol content drinks claiming ‘all alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them high or low some how equally or potentially causes the alcohol(ism) problems’, without having any concrete research evidence to prove their claims. Of course the high-alcohol content drinks fetches most of the money or the profit in its drinks sale for alcohol marketing bosses also the alcohol tax revenue for the Government. It also provides the hefty fringe benefits to the “undertakers” (researchers, prevention, treatment providers etc.) dealing with this devastating alcohol(ism) problems.

Therefore the root-cause of all those drunk driving/accidents lies in the “misconduct”, “vested interest” of the alcohol drink Governing Bosses. They are the real culprits behind the drunk driving. People who fall in to the drunk driving are basically the victim and not criminal as they are being made into.

My above contentions based on the available alcohol epidemiological research survey evidences on this matter, which overwhelmingly points to the fact that almost all drunk driving especially its accidents caused by the people drinking those high alcohol drug (having around and above 5%) content drinks, which the alcohol authorities license for the public consumption under the banner of ‘Standard Alcohol Drinks’ so the bosses ENTICE, enchant or beguile the people into drinking it! The most popular are the regular beers containing around 5% alcohol, which treacherously lead the people into excessive alcohol consumption thus into several alcohol(ism) problems including those drunk driving/accidents! In fact the low-alcohol content drinks (that I mentioned above) can ideally fulfill or serve this above purpose, so there is no need of high-alcohol drinks to do it. In fact main purpose of licensing the latter is to allow or facilitate excessive alcohol consumption in the people that makes them highly intoxicated or drunk that in-turn creates almost all alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving.

People who misuse alcohol are basically are alcohol drink prone, vulnerable or gullible people, including the young! Trish Gore’s DUI Bills: Should Pursue This Line

People have been made to understand that having legally “HIGH” BAC levels (0.8 and above) and driving is a offence because it can potentially cause the accidents. Then why not licensing and marketing those high alcohol drinks also an offence? Because all those alcohol epidemiological research surveys basically points to the fact that that almost all alcohol(ism) problems caused by the alcohol drinks having HIGH around and above 5% alcohol content!

Having herself a DUI conviction and the arrest, it would be more appropriate for the State Rep. Trish Groe to pursue this line.

Therefore I ask the Rome City Commission’s board members to study deep into the above mentioned alcohol(ism) fact before they consider More detailed standard for licensees selling beer, wine and liqueurs.

Why stop at yellow plates for DUI?

Yellow plates for DUI offenders? What about those real culprits behind all the drunk driving/accidents? The “Alcohol Drinks Governing Bosses” who license and market those extremely dangerous high-alcohol drug content drinks for the public consumption that causes almost all those drunk driving/accidents.

My above contentions based on the available alcohol epidemiological research survey evidences on this matter, which overwhelmingly points to the fact that almost all drunk driving especially its accidents caused by the people drinking those high alcohol drug (having around and above 5%) content drinks, which the alcohol authorities license for the public consumption under the banner of ‘Standard Alcohol Drinks’ so the bosses ENTICE, enchant or beguile the people into drinking it! The most popular are the regular beers containing around 5% alcohol, which treacherously lead the people into excessive alcohol consumption thus into several alcohol(ism) problems including those drunk driving/accidents! Now the most important thing that one should know on this matter is that there are no such research evidence that points or proves that the low-alcohol drinks (preferably having around and below 2% alcohol) causing any of those alcohol(ism) problems. Therefore it mostly proves to be safe in this matter.

However the authorities instead of allowing only the safe low-alcohol drinks, also license those extremely dangerous alcohol(ism) problem causing “high-alcohol” content drinks on the basis claiming; ‘all alcohol drinks irrespective of the alcohol content in them high or low some how equally or potentially causes the alcohol(ism) problems’, without having any concrete research evidence to prove their claims. Therefore under the law it becomes a serious “misconduct” on their part.

The prudent purpose of licensing the alcohol drinks for the public consumption is to let the people enjoy the pleasures of the “drinking” with moderate amount of alcohol consumption. In fact the low-alcohol content drinks (that I mentioned above) can ideally fulfill or serve this above purpose, so there is no need of high-alcohol drinks to do it. In fact main purpose of licensing the latter is to allow or facilitate excessive alcohol consumption in the people that makes them highly intoxicated or drunk that in-turn creates almost all alcohol(ism) problems including the drunk driving.

Harsher DUI punishments to them now adding public humiliation with this DUI yellow plates! No doubt it can make their life more tougher and can turn that already vulnerable person into a really hardened criminal, mostly ruin their life, more devastating effect on their families. However much of such measures remains mostly ineffective but a sham show in the prevention of the DUI offence. It only shows the authorities desperation that they have not much effective measures to prevent DUI offenses significantly any more!

Tiffany Marie Campbell’s Cause Of Drunk Driving

Tiffany Marie Campbell, 23, never would have fallen into this drunk driving, that resulted in this fatal accident. Her two passengers Brian Murray, 23, and Kelli Luna, 22 never would have killed by it and both their close family members would not had to undergo its extreme grief, torments and the life devastations, “IF” the authorities have not licensed those drunk driving causing high-alcohol drug containing drinks for the public consumption.

The root-cause of all those drunk driving/accidents lies in the “misconduct”, “vested interest” of the alcohol drink Governing Bosses. They are the real culprits behind the drunk driving.

Harsher penalties for DUI offenders seems to be getting meaningless as it finds not much success in preventing the DUI other than ruining more and more of those alcohol drink vulnerable gullible people who in their “high-alcohol impaired state of mind” continue to fall into the drunk driving/accidents much the same!

The right way to prevent the drunk driving is first of all is to BAN all those drunk driving causing extremely dangerous high-alcohol drinks. The authorities should only allow the safe low-alcohol drinks under their Standard Alcohol Drinks LICENSE for the public consumption.

Thanks to the era of science and technology the world treading in today. With its wide-spread broadband internet connections the IT ushering the age of E-commerce, E-business. Most importantly in this regard is its technology of electronic credit card money transactions. In which the financial (bank) institutions provide the most important “money facility service” to the people. It makes the money transaction between any two parties instantly recorded before this legally registered financial institution under which it is not possible for any one to hide or manipulates the true accounts of their money and its transactions from the public or legal scrutiny when authorized.

Traditionally the genuine reason for people to keep their money hidden and not to display its true amounts to the public, is to PROTECT it from getting stolen or looted by the thief’s or the buglers! Most importantly the fear of getting robbed, or lost while carrying it around for the transaction. However now this electronic credit card money transaction technology replacing the traditional cash money would entirely remove all such potential threats or the genuine fears of the people on this matter.

This electronic money credit card system of buying,/selling, payment /receipt, deposits etc., if pursued deeply and made mandatory in all money transaction (except in very small trade dealing in very small amounts in smallest denominations, in coins) could provide the most effective TECHNIQUE and the great historical opportunity to stamp out almost all of the unlawful money transaction so the economic crimes popularly known as money “corruptions”.

Money is basically a public TRUST. (It is not any individuals personal property.) It puts a social responsibility and the legal obligation on all those who owns it that they should maintain and submit its truthful accounts before the designated public authorities for its legal scrutiny and not to use it for unlawful, illegal purposes. However the conventional cash money transaction between the two parties got no such effective tool or technology to monitor and record its movements all the times to prevent it from getting misused. Thus it becomes possible for the unscrupulous individuals to totally hide it or submit its false accounting before the public, legal authorities and engage into many kinds of its “misuse”, corrupt criminal use or the illegal money dealings.

Of course, most of the cash money transaction, business in our world conducted lawfully. However a significant number of this money transactions amounting to enormous sums kept hidden away from the legal scrutiny or collected and employed unlawfully. The number one among is the ubiquitous economic crime of tax fraud, along with its cheating and depriving the public revenue it also puts the other people around in the money market competition into a very disadvantageous position thus encourages or pressurizes many among them also to commit that crime. Same is true with other economic crimes mainly the BRIBE. It spoils the entire economic system. Corruption breeds corruption crime begets crime.

By removing all the cash money transaction and brining in the system of mandatory electronic credit card in its place could revolutionize the entire economic system. Perhaps a credit card feature can be added into the cell phone so one can access or check their bank account, make money payments and deposits, whenever needed with passwords in biometrics perhaps! Most important of all is (as I mentioned it before) this technological system makes it sure that almost every money transactions between any parties gets duly recorded before the legally authorized money transaction service providing financial office that that in turn could be made available to its democratic public, legal or the judicial scrutiny whenever authorized.

Under this system most importantly, all people in a nation should have a single Social SURETY Number (SSN) or call it ”Social Security Number” (SSN, already in place in some countries) registered in the nations central office that should keep all their bank money accounts. First of all it should have the basic responsibility of social security of providing some basic employment or the income guaranty for the poor. Importantly as well, people above a given income bracket should submit their annual property accounts (like filing income tax return forms)under it. Be it the nations top leaders, presidents, prime ministers, corporate tycoons, CEO’s, down to the common man. All should come under this centralized electronic SSN network system.

This electronic or digital “exchange value” (money) account recording SSN network system also needs to be applied to all fields where valuable commodity transaction or handover takes place including exchange of gift, financial helps property ownership transfer etc. No barter trade of property, precious metals, valuable artifact should be allowed. All valuable items a person, organizations, institutions owning accounted as property and its records maintained in the responsible Gov. department under this system.

Business firms, super markets, shops, traders (except the very small one) buying and selling any products should conduct it only through the medium of the electronic credit card money facility, service providing financial institutions, which comes under this SSN system. Similarly all wages, salaries, incomes, profit earnings, receipts/payments deposits made in the electronic money form. Such a mandatory electronic credit card money transaction system open and transparent to the legal scrutiny basically deter people from engaging in any of the economic crimes because its essentially leaves the electronic money trail as a clear evidence that could be impossible for any one to get rid off.

First of all the tax fraud in this electronic surety system would become mostly impossible! Just imagine its great benefits to the society when almost all tax revenues gets collected. It would provide enough money for poverty eradication, public health care, education, infrastructure etc. Another major advantage of this electronic money unlike the cash money it would totally deter or prevent people from giving and taking BRIBES as it could be always traced back to those individuals accounts so they get prosecuted with the concrete evidence of its electronic money transaction trail.

The black money, money laundering, counterfeit money, ransom money, money robbery will have no basic grounds in the first place to commit those crimes as there are no such CASH money available to carry it out! All the smuggling, drugs, weapons etc. trafficking mafia will have no safe place to collect, hide or launder their money. Credit card theft the fear of getting it lost in a way become meaningless when the other cannot withdraw it in cash and stash it out. Credit card fraud, fake credit card accounts use not feasible as the other accounts that transacted with it would revel its all round connections. In the electronic money sphere all proceeding money transactions can be immediately traced back to its preceding accounts! Business corruption, buying of the bureaucracy, police, judiciary, politician for money can not escape from this electronic money transaction scanning technology. Most of the property crimes, murders even the sex crimes gets discouraged or restrained as they basically have their main motivations to commit it rooted in the conventional hidden cash money transaction.

People who conduct all their business legally have nothing to fear from this mandatory electronic money transaction system, they would rather greatly benefit from it by its far more fair, corruption free business competition. Most important of all is that there will be no restrictions or limits on people in their legitimate earnings or owning money or property of any huge amounts. One can be a bilinear or a trillionear, provided all their businesses in electronic money transaction remains open to the democratic, legal scrutiny. In fact the Government should encourage them by providing more opportunities, perhaps by lowering the taxes.

It is only the unscrupulous people who engage in the economic crimes will get terrified of it because the electronic money transaction system leaves behind the electronic money trail as clear as day the light so they can no longer cover-up its tracks and hide their crimes so will be caught with its clear evident get duly prosecuted and sent to prison.

Finally hereby I appeal to all the people individuals, organizations, law makers those who are very much concerned about prevention of the economic crimes to look into this matter. It would not interfere with peoples private or personal life. There are already legislations in place that rules that the citizens legally obliged to submit all their property, money true accounts before the public or the legal authorities. Today there exist this advanced electronic credit card money transaction technology that makes it very much possible so it can root-out almost all the economic crimes of the conventional cash money transaction system. What is really needed is the political will to get it done.

Abolition of cash (paper) money and making all money transaction in electronic would bring in a more “just” economic system a Socialist Revolution without the abolition of Private Property.
